Kevin O'Grady began lampworking glass in 1989. His prior experience as a silversmith and lapidary artist helped him to develop his lampworking skills. Working glass in a flame is Kevin's favorite artistic medium. Primarily known for his glass bracelets, Kevin is also accomplished in making beads, marbles, paperweights and vessels.
He is also well known for his detailed mastering of borosilicate murrini. He was one of the first to pioneer this technique in his medium of borosilicate glass and has murrini canes in the Corning Museum of Glass. Every piece is signed and dated with a murrine cane as well. Kevin's work has been featured in magazines including "Ornament", spring 2002 edition.
