* Gallery Collection * SPI Gallery, Turtle Console table in brass, with hot patina finish. Two magnificent sea turtles swimming through a colorful coral reef with schools of tropical fish. Approximately 32.5"h x 48"w x 18"d. Table top has 1/2 inch thick tempered glass with beveled edges. This sculpture is meticulously hand finished, using the hot patina technique. SPI artists heat the brass surfaces with blow torches and apply proprietary formulations of chemicals that react to the metal using using various techniques, one layer at a time. After several coats of hand waxing, the result is a vibrant, deep, layered finish with complex subtleties that no other finishing method can achieve. |
