Hi Gary! I received the bowl today. It is drop dead gorgeous - you were so right about how beautiful this is and I'm very grateful for your recommendation because it hadn't really caught my eye. Thank you, also, for the quick shipping.
You probably saw that I decided to also purchase the perfume bottle you recommended. I'm really looking forward to that piece.
It's been great working with you.
Hello Again, Gary!
I have owed you a long (longer than this one) email for ages to thank you for our last purchase, the HUGE Lowry double-jellyfish which you, personally, all but midwifed into existence for us. We absolutely love it, and perhaps the best proof of our sincerity is our wanting to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to buy the clear-glass double jelly which you have on this very tempting "special."
The results of our wait for the last Lowry sculpture -- the one with black background -- was well worth our time. Actually, we never minded waiting, but we did appreciate how closely you watched the process and how reliably you kept us informed. It's a shame that the glass needed for the "side-winder" type we initially ordered proved unavailable (and if it ever becomes available, we might re-consider one of them), but it's impossible to regret anything about the double-upright "Underwater Diamond Display" that came in its stead. The only unforeseen complication was that the generosity of size made it impossible to put it where we had planned, and so we made a new arrangement -- which we see much more and consequently like even better.
THANK YOU-! I have much more to say -- some about a wonderful Eickholt anemone that I got from you ages ago but have just recently had the good sense to put on a colored LED stand, which transforms the piece -- but off I go.More tomorrow --
Very Warmly and Happily,
Gary,
My order consisting of the 2 lucite stands and the River Series vase arrived today. Everything in good condition.
Thanks again,

Hello Gary!
Today I receive in good condition the four beautiful pillar vases!
Thank you very much!
Happy and merry Christmas to You!
Hi Gary,
Apologies for not having written to you as soon as the first Hot Island Jellyfish arrived. My only excuse is that the holidays are just as busy for psychologists as for vendors, even, or especially, in this economy, when so many people are battling anxiety and depression.
However, my lapse in no way reflected my/ our joy when we saw the glass, which only increased exponentially when we got it first onto a light stand, then onto an LED. I am so glad and so grateful that you went out of your way to call us the night I placed the order and that you recommended this particular weight, because it is just wonderful. In fact, to say that at some $300 it was an extraordinary value -- until word gets around -- is an understatement of colossal proportions, isn't it?
Also, seeing our piece in person only made more evident what pictures cannot show quite so clearly, which is that this jellyfish is just so different from the Satava conception that they can sit near each other (and are doing so in our bedroom just now) without in any way competing. As you remarked, it is rather a cruel fluke of fate that anyone who googles Chris Lowry's name will soon learn how famous he is for having been a hapless participant in a lawsuit that is now at least as famous in the law profession as in the world of glass. The fact that he was vindicated doubtless helps a whole lot. I'm sure it also helps that what the Satava people initially wanted was to find a way to patent their glassmaking process for that particular subject, not to copyright, somehow, "jellyfish," but since even the judges in who finally wrote the appeals in the case don't seem to have been entirely clear about that point, it cannot help all that much, especially since the law will be around at least as long as the glass. No, what will ultimately make the whole imbroglio moot is the fact that the Hot Island creation is not only gorgeous but entirely original, a very different conception of a beautiful (if somewhat toxic) creature of the sea!
To my eye (so far), what is most beautiful -- and unlike anyone else's glass that I can think of -- are the colors. Then, what I at first thought were perfectly placed bubbles, but now think may be an inset of pre-made bubbles or something of that sort, seem like strands of diamonds adorning the tentacles. Obviously real jellyfish do not wear diamonds, yet anyone who has lived and swum in the tropics, especially at night, can attest to the fact they can seem to wear the most expensive jewelry. Anyway, all of this is both the first of my thank-you notes to you, since without your website I would not have known about the Maui work at all, and it also is my long way of saying -- in answer to your question of last night -- that Lowry and Richards should take all the time they need to get our next piece exactly as they want it. When the results are this wonderful time is certainly not a concern, especially since this is our holiday gift to ourselves!
Very Gratefully,
Hi Gary:
