* Gallery Collection * SPI Gallery, Airborne Cranes waterfowl sculpture in brass and set on a polished rectangular marble base. Approximately 15.5"h x 16"w x 4"d. Art deco stylized sculpture with beautiful patinas. This sculpture is meticulously hand finished, using the hot patina technique. SPI artists heat the brass surfaces with blow torches and apply proprietary formulations of chemicals that react to the metal using using various techniques, one layer at a time. After several coats of hand waxing, the result is a vibrant, deep, layered finish with complex subtleties that no other finishing method can achieve. |
